Couch Potato Yoga

Couch Potato Yoga

Just when you thought that you were not going to be able to fit yoga into your day, I bring you, Couch Potato Yoga!!!! (video below)

These are poses that I literally do while marathoning my way through shows like Game of Thrones or SChitt$ Creek!

This is not a workout. These are yoga stretch poses that can be done on the comfort of a cozy couch cushion.

Is your body feeling achy after a long day? Is your mind fatigued and wired at the same time? These poses will help massage the muscles of your body and shut your mind off so that you cruise into your 4 hour marathon of Mindhunter or simply practiced when you are feeling exhausted and need a little pick me up.

ALL YOU WILL NEED IS A COUCH, A YOGA BELT OR SCARF, AND COMFY CLOTHES.

Please enjoy these poses and let me know what you think!

I would love for you to comment and share your thoughts and self care needs with us at be, in the world yoga.

Namaste Friends!

Christina

  1. Ooh, these are really good ideas! Since my country has gone into full isolation, I’ve been feeling very tight. Some good stretches I can do on the couch would be great.

  2. Ah a little Netflix and yoga. Love it! Such great ideas to integrate movement into TV time.

  3. For a couch potato there is nothing more pleasing than to recline comfortably and let life just flow on by, preferably with a little entertainment. and this position is my favourite.

  4. Purrrfect for lazy people like me lol! But really helpful information, thanks for sharing! We really need it now that most people are bound to be couch potatoes staying at home all day.

    1. Christina’s been practicing for a while. I’m a beginner. So, I’m not as flexible as her. However, the more I do the poses, the more flexible I get. Keep at it! We’re here for you!

  5. Your style is very unique compared to other folks I have read stuff
from. I appreciate you for posting when you’ve got the opportunity, Guess I’ll just bookmark this web site.

  6. My brother suggested I might like this blog. He was
totally right. This post truly made my day. You can not imagine just how so much
time I had spent for this information! Thank you!

  7. Thanks Christina. I’m 7 weeks out from open heart surgery and have been advised that I can start certain types of stretching and strengthening exercises. Still have to be careful about letting my chest heal but most of these movements were within the bounds of what I am now allowed to try. Also, realize that I have a lot of ground to make up. Slow but steady wins the race. Namaste.
